Laurel Chamber of Commerce- Event Coordinator

Part-Time (10-20 hours a week) Pay DOE

Summary
The role of the Event Coordinator is to be responsible for planning and executing aspects of Chamber events. Key duties include: planning, creating and adhering to budgets, set up/tear down of events, managing event details and volunteers, soliciting sponsors or partner organizations, creating coordinated marketing & design pieces, and promoting events via social media, Internet, print, & radio. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine love of Laurel and be passionate in advocating for the success of the community.

General Duties

  • Organize, plan and develop projects and events initiated and hosted by the Laurel Chamber of Commerce annually, but not limited to, these events include 4th of July, Farmers Market, Golf Tournament, Leadership Laurel, Laurel Brewfest, Christmas Stroll, and Annual Meeting Raffle
  • In collaboration with the Director, write, design and edit material (programs, tickets, email blasts, etc) for Chamber events.
  • Ensure the needs of event details are met and properly prepared in a timely manner.
  • Comply with the constraints of the event budgets.
  • Promote, administer, and attend chamber events
  • Create print & digital marketing materials, including promotional flyers, press releases and event signage
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Event planning & promotion knowledge and experience
  • Proven customer service and relationship management skills and experience working in a business environment
  • Highly motivated with B2B sales experience
  • Must work well independently and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of the Laurel Area — business community
  • Able to set and meet measurable goals
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Outgoing and enjoys networking
  • A team player with good work ethic and positive attitude
  • Experience using Mac, Windows, email, MS Office, Adobe CS (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Mail Chimp, Social Media, and customer management platforms
  • Ability to work extended hours to attend Chamber events and activities

Our plumbing company is looking for a self-motivated, knowledgeable and skilled Journeyperson Plumber for a long-term position licensed to work in the State of Montana. Our plumbing team is responsible for residential & commercial installation and maintenance of plumbing fixtures as well as repairing or replacing water heaters, piping, and performing service work. Applicants should be familiar with piping systems, knowledgeable with tools, and have experience with a variety of plumbing jobs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Repair plumbing and piping in homes and businesses.
  • Install, replace, and repair drains, pipes, and fixtures.
  • Install water fixtures and pipe.
  • Troubleshooting issues and finding the solution
  • Installation of Water Heaters (Traditional & Tankless)
  • Toilet removal and installation
  • Gas Line installation
  • Knowledge in Boiler systems a plus
  • Schedule:
    • 8 hour shift
    • Day shift
    • Monday to Friday

    License/Certification:

    • Journeyman Plumber license in Montana (Required)

All coaches must be certified under the MHSA Coaching Education Program.  Failure to gain and maintain such certification will result in non-renewal of the contract. Prior to first day of employment, fingerprints, background checks, and other district requirements must be complete.
