Whether you’re here for the parade, spending the day at Thomson Park, or staying until dark for the fireworks, Laurel’s 4th of July is a celebration you won’t want to miss.

Chief Joseph Run
Start your 4th of July with a Laurel tradition!
The Chief Joseph Run kicks off the celebration at Thomson Park. Choose from the 8-mile, 4-mile, or 2-mile course and start your holiday with a little friendly competition. This is a qualifying run, making it a great opportunity for runners looking to qualify for future events.

Pancake Breakfast
Start your Independence Day with a delicious, hearty pancake breakfast! Enjoy a morning meal with friends and family before heading downtown for Laurel’s 4th of July parade. Hosted by Laurel Hometown Troops.

The parade travels through downtown Laurel, with 1st Avenue & East Main Street offering a great spot to enjoy all the action! Arrive early to claim your favorite viewing spot, bring your lawn chairs, and settle in for a fun-filled 4th of July tradition with family and friends!
Food & Craft Fair
Shop. Eat. Explore.
The Food & Craft Fair runs from 10:00 AM–9:00 PM in Thomson Park, giving visitors plenty of time to grab lunch, shop local vendors, find handmade treasures, and enjoy the celebration throughout the day.

Fireworks
End the Day with a Bang!
Stay in Laurel and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display as we celebrate Independence Day! Gather your family and friends, find a great viewing spot, and enjoy the show as the celebration comes to a close.

The fireworks can be enjoyed from just about anywhere in Laurel, so find a spot that works best for you! Thomson Park offers one of the best viewing locations for a great view of the show.
